Sunshine Before Storm
Now that you’ve read about our automobile adventures, let me show you how God prepared our morning so that I could handle the afternoon that was in store!
After spending lots of time outside dividing my overgrown iris, Katya and I headed indoors with armfuls of flowers to put in vases. It was also project time again! We got out an almost-gone set of watercolor paints and filled each well with water. Then I folded up squares of paper towel and Katya dipped various corners in the colors. We unfolded them to find pretty designs.

Katya loved this project and filled my whole window with her creations. As she kept dipping, I moved to the sink to arrange the flowers. Before you know it, this is what I turned around to find…

My brightly painted girl headed out to the wading pool to splash around and clean up. A great way to end a good morning! I was cheered all day by the bright colors and the memory of our good interactions. The best part, though, was realizing that God knew when I got home after our car accident I would be greatly encouraged walking in and seeing this…

Your pictures as well as your reflections just get better and better! I always look forward to your blog. I was choked up with a lump in my throat as I read your insight into the car accident. And I had tears in my eyes as I looked at the beautiful, colorful display of flowers and dipped towels. Made my day!
I anxiously open each one of your neat fresh ideas to see what blessings you have to share for the day. Wow! I love them all.
Happy to hear of Gods preparation and protection in the whole incident. Fun project, I need to come up with some more for Calvin.
