Crayon Project
Thanks to instructions from this blog here…
http://thislittleproject.blogspot.com/2009/08/doodle-rubbings.html
we had a fun time creating patterns and making crayon rubbings. The basic idea is to draw simple pictures on cardboard using hot glue. After the glue dries, lay a sheet of white paper over the design and use the side of a crayon to rub over the design, making it appear like magic! (The instructions at the blog above are much better than mine). I was in charge of the hot glue, of course. Nathan suggested lots of good ideas for shapes and figured out how to make the rubbings fairly successfully. I made some too, since I have a hard time resisting crayons or craft projects!
Katya wasn’t too interested, but after some initial coloring she enjoyed collecting the patterns we weren’t using and carrying them around in a box, pretending they were pieces of pizza for her to deliver. Give her something to collect and something to carry it in and she is happy!
This was an easy and creative project, one I would recommend, and something we will hopefully enjoy doing again.

I’m so glad you and your children enjoyed them too! It’s a little project I should do with my kiddos again soon
Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!
